Watch live at Big Data Week NYC: Software is eating the edge

The annual Wikibon Presentation & Party takes place on Wednesday, September 27, in New York City during Big Data Week. Presented by Wikibon Research (Wikibon Inc. is owned by the same parent company as SiliconANGLE Media Inc.) in association with the Strata Data Conference, this year’s theme is “Software Is Eating the Edge — The Entangling of Big Data and IIoT.”

It has been six years since Marc Andreessen, co-founder and general partner of Andreessen Horowitz LLC, penned his famous “Why Software Is Eating the World” essay in “The Wall Street Journal.” Andreessen’s prediction is still true today, especially in the unstoppable penetration of artificial intelligence software into every niche of the digital economy, in particular, edge apps on the Industrial Internet of Things, or IIoT.
